What Goes Up, Must Come Down
Discover how the ebbs and flows of our lives reflect Newton’s Third Law, and how to harness it for personal growth
Newton's Third Law in Our Lives
Happy Monday Motion Fam! 🌟
Today, I want to talk about something that might seem a bit out of the ordinary for a marketing newsletter – Newton’s Third Law of Motion: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. While this law usually lives in the realm of physics, it has fascinating implications for our personal and professional lives.

The Highs and Lows of Life
In my own journey, I’ve experienced incredible highs—financial success, strong relationships, and academic achievements. However, life, adhering to Newton's law, brought its share of lows. Suddenly, I found myself battling loneliness, which in turn affected my grades and relationships. It’s a vivid reminder that what goes up, indeed, must come down.
But here’s the flip side and the real message I want to focus on: What goes down, must also come up. If you’re currently facing financial, emotional, or personal challenges, remember, these lows are not permanent. The universe has a way of balancing things out.
Change Your Perspective
The key to navigating the ups and downs lies in how we perceive and talk to ourselves during these times. It’s a powerful reminder of the impact of self-approval.
You have been criticizing yourself for years and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens.
This Week’s Challenge:
Approve of Yourself: Start by changing the internal narrative. Talk to yourself with confidence and kindness.
Reflect on the Reactions: For every low this week, find a high. It could be as simple as a lesson learned or a moment of joy.
Visualize the Rise: Spend a few moments each day visualizing your climb back up from whatever lows you are experiencing.

Embrace the Motion
Just as in physics, our lives are made up of actions and reactions. By embracing this, we can better prepare for and adapt to the inevitable ups and downs. This week, let’s challenge ourselves to not only accept the lows but to use them as a springboard for our next great ascent.
Wishing you a week of balanced actions and positive reactions!
Stay moving.
